What are the results when the USB hub is linked directly to a laptop or maybe a computer?
To understand this kind of problem, we must initially know the 5 main causes of burning a motherboard:
- Reasons for components: the computer has been used for a long time, and some components are aging and damaged and cannot be carried;
- Dust accumulation problem: too much dust on the motherboard, which affects heat dissipation or causes a short circuit;
- Power supply problems: poor power supply quality, insufficient or unstable power supply;
- Heat dissipation problem: CPU and graphics card are overheated, causing the motherboard to overheat and damage;
- The motherboard itself does not work.
Over 5 kinds of complications result in a specific component upon the motherboard getting damaged, and then a pc can not be used, popularly known as using up the motherboard.
To sort out, 1, 2, 4, and 5 belong to the computer/ motherboard itself. Only issue 3 may be the power source that is linked to external devices like a good USB hub.
So will every USB hub possess the chance to damage the laptop/ computer?
Obviously NO.
When the USB hub is only connected to the keyboard, mouse, hard disk, monitor, etc., there is no difference between directly connecting these peripherals with the laptop/computer, and the power supply of these devices is generally between 5W-8W. The USB hub is just a protocol conversion and the role of data transmission, there is no hidden danger of burning the motherboard. Then why does a USB hub with PD fast charge have the risk of the burning the motherboard and cause damage to the laptop/computer? The main reason is that for PD fast charge, most power is between 60W-100W, some hubs cut corners on the hardware, once a short circuit occurs after some originals are damaged, a large current will be sent to the notebook/laptop/computer for an instant, causing the motherboard to burn out.
But this only happens to a terrible USB hub with PD fast charge, our USB hub uses high-quality accessories (hardware and spare parts, etc.) to ensure quality, safety, and reliability, and protect your laptop/ notebook/ computer.
