MZTC9791: the 15-in-1 SSD Hub That Runs Three Displays at Once

The MZTC9791 drives three displays, an 8K DP output plus dual 4K HDMI, through one Thunderbolt 4 cable, with an M.2 NVMe/SATA bay, 10Gbps USB, cards and audio: 15 in 1.

There are desks that use a computer, and there are desks that run one. Trading desks, editing suites, engineering stations, control rooms: the desks where three displays are not luxury but the working surface, where a project archive lives on fast storage, and where a chain of adapters is a standing invitation to failure. The MZTC9791, the flagship of the Mattzon SSD enclosure hub family, is built for those desks, and its specification deserves to be read slowly.

Three Displays, One Thunderbolt 4 Cable

The headline: three displays from a single host connection. Through its Thunderbolt 4 host cable, the MZTC9791 drives a DisplayPort 1.4 output at 8K 60Hz plus two HDMI 2.0 outputs at 4K 60Hz, using MST to split the streams across the trio. An 8K main monitor for the work that needs pixels, two 4K panels for charts, references and calls, and the whole stack hangs off one cable to the computer. The port map behind it: one USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 and one USB-A 3.2 Gen 2 port at 10Gbps for fast drives and peripherals, two USB-A 3.2 Gen 1 ports at 5Gbps, one USB 2.0 port for devices that never need speed, and a 3.5mm audio/mic jack for the headset.

Storage at the Core

Between the displays and the ports sits the feature that defines the SSD hub family: a dual-protocol M.2 NVMe/SATA bay at 10Gbps, accepting 2242, 2260 and 2280 drives (drive not included). This is full-speed NVMe storage living inside the dock: project archives, working libraries and the backup routine that keeps getting postponed all land in a drive that never leaves the desk, never occupies an external port and never gets left behind.

SD and TF card slots at 600Mb/s round out the intake side, with simultaneous dual-card reading for camera workflows, so cards offload at speed while the displays run and the ports stay busy.

Built to Be the Center of the Desk

A fifteen-in-one product asks to be trusted with everything, and the trust has to be engineered. The MZTC9791 is produced in our own Shenzhen factory with derated components on the power paths, and like every Mattzon product it passes per-port functional testing and an aging test before shipment: every display output, every data port, every card slot, unit by unit, before the box closes. Fifteen functions are fifteen chances to cut a corner; we do not.

For distributors and brand buyers, the MZTC9791 anchors the premium end of the SSD hub family, alongside the MZTC9601M, MZTC9605 and MZTC9322, with 89% private-mold products, OEM and ODM service welcome, no minimum order quantity and 3 to 25 day lead times.
